Yuritzi began performing massage therapy in 2004 in Mexico as a way to understand human musculature and arthrokinematics, but her involvement in movement-based activities began well before that. She enjoyed a career as a dancer prior to becoming a therapist in the healing arts, with her first public performance occurring at the age of five. Yuritzi has been fortunate to blend both worlds, working with dancers and athletes in the corporate world, spas, spiritual retreats, and ashrams in the US, Mexico, and India. By sharing her experience in massage therapy and movement, she’s connected with people with a level of patience and tolerance that can only be learned through experiencing culture at an international level.
Yuritzi’s first studied massage therapy at a shamanic therapeutic massage school in Mexico, and later obtained her degree from the Swedish Institute in NY. Her academic background also includes computer science, contemporary dance (she was awarded a scholarship to attend in CENADAC), mat Pilates, Bowen Therapy, Polarity Therapy, and certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy from the Vodder School. In her free time, Yuritzi is a freelance professional dancer, and enjoys Raja Yoga meditation, reading, cooking vegetarian meals, and continually learning about the influence that the emotion/mind/diet/body relationship has on our overall wellness.
