Nilda Lopez, MD

Primary Care Physician

Nilda loves working in healthcare because it gives her the ability to connect and create lasting relationships with patients and their families. She provides comprehensive primary care, with particular interest in geriatric medicine, pediatrics, and tropical medicine. She is also a certified BioTE practitioner. She most enjoys the ability to care for the whole family at all stages of life, and always approaches her patients with a kind and caring demeanor. 

Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Nilda is a long-time resident of Dallas. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and gained family medicine training and experience during her residency at John Peter Smith Hospital. She has additional training for the care of patients of advanced age and completed fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital.

Dr. Lopez enjoys mission work, poetry, singing, writing, traveling, being involved with her church, and spending time with her family.
