Kirsten Stephenson, LPN

Nurse

One of the things Kirsten especially enjoys about working in healthcare is that no two days—or patients—are alike. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Kirsten has lived in Bardstown, Kentucky for the last seventeen years. When she’s not busy with patients, she keeps busy with woodworking—she creates personalized wood engravings, does furniture restoration, and builds custom furniture.

What makes me unique:
The majority of my nursing career has been in corrections working with psychiatric inmates and those affected by drug addiction.

Why do I practice healthcare:
It’s the only job I’ve ever had where I felt that I may have helped to provide a small amount of comfort to someone that was possibly having the worst day of their life.
