Part of what Kia loves about working in healthcare is the interaction with patients—especially when we can help them reach a good outcome. That feeling is what led her to obesity medicine as a subspecialty.
Kia graduated with a BS in Biology from Hampton University, and earned her MD from Howard University. Her Family Medicine residency was completed at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, and she is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the Obesity Medicine Association.
Hailing from Silver Spring, MD, which is just outside of Washington, D.C., Kia likes to spend time away from work traveling, reading, and playing with her dog.
