Katherine loves establishing relationships with her patients. It is such a unique experience to get to know a patient and then, a lot of the time, to start treating their children, spouses, relatives, and friends. She gets such a thrill seeing a patient who previously had an uncontrolled disease like hypertension or diabetes and slowly seeing them improve and become well-controlled. Katherine will often emphasize huge accomplishments like these with her patients to motivate them to continue in a positive direction.
Katherine earned a BS from Stonehill College, as well as both a BS and a Masters in Nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing. She’s a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a Registered Nurse, and is BLS-certified. Katherine practiced family medicine and women’s health at a primary care office in the Upper West Side for two years. In 2013, she was a medical volunteer in the small rural village of Bumwalukani, Uganda.
Originally from New London, Connecticut, her family eventually relocated to New Hope, PA. When she’s away from work, Katherine enjoys working out and often takes HIIT, Pilates, and barre classes. She loves to bake but is also gluten intolerant, so she always accepts the challenge of making a gluten-free treat taste just as good as anything else! Her husband and she are very passionate about travelling and food—especially making homemade pizza which is a weekly family tradition. She is also obsessed with her Cavapoo dog, Theodore.
