Karen Morrow, RN

Registered Nurse

What Karen likes most about working in healthcare is that she gets to meet some really interesting people—those who have truly unique stories to tell. Most of her nursing experience is in medical/surgical and physical rehabilitation nursing. She has also worked in ambulatory surgery and psychiatric nursing. Originally from Houston, Texas, she has a collection of vintage dollhouses and accessories. She also has a small but growing collection of die-cast model cars—mostly American muscle and a few luxury vehicles for interest. Karen’s eye for detail means she has a great appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into these realistic pieces—one model even has working crank windows!

What makes me unique:
According to my family, what makes me unique is my deep concern for others and that I enjoy baking and interior design. I don’t really consider myself unique because I have attributes easily found in others.

Why do I practice healthcare:
I practice healthcare because I care about helping people get well, stay well, and stay out of the hospital.
