Through a collaborative approach, Jennifer believes therapy can help people reestablish healthier perceptions, create positive coping skills, and provide an awareness that will help empower them and their relationships. She is experienced in treating individuals, couples, families, children, and teens and specializes in trauma therapy, anxiety, and depression. 

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, Jennifer grew up in Carrollton, Texas and recently relocated to Dallas. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University, and her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Edward’s University. Jennifer is a former board member of the Austin Marriage and Family Therapy Association and has contributed to community art therapy projects around the city of Austin. She has experience working with co-occurring disorders, and includes addressing emotional, sexual, and physical trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, crisis intervention and relapse prevention. An LGBTQ ally, Jennifer treats relationship issues including separation, mending relationships, co-parenting, communication, and intimacy, as well as life transitions, eating disorders, addiction, veterans, and first responders. Her training and modalities include EMDR, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-centered techniques, Creative Expression Techniques, Seeking Safety, and utilize Mindfulness Techniques. Jennifer has worked at a psychiatric hospital providing crisis intervention to individuals struggling with psychosis, suicidal, and homicidal thoughts. She has also worked in substance abuse treatment facilities with comorbid disorders, and in a school district where she helped students and their families address mental health needs.

When she’s not at work, Jennifer enjoys being with her family and friends and trying new restaurants. She also loves to cycle indoors, attend concerts, travel, paint, play soccer, and watch the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of her favorite activities though, is being outside with her Border Collie, Dilly, and her Austrian Shepherd, Pickles.
