Cynthia has a heart for educating and empowering people to take charge of their physical and emotional health, and is thrilled to bring her approach to whole-person care to Crossover.
Since nursing school (where she was valedictorian and earned the award for Clinical Excellence), Cynthia has gained more than 15 years of experience in nursing, and has dedicated her career to the most critically ill patients in the emergency and intensive care units. Prior to becoming a nurse, she worked with the seriously mentally ill for several years, and Cynthia is now continuing her education for dual certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to best meet both the physical and mental health needs of her patients.
When she’s not working, Cynthia is a voracious reader of thrillers, comedic essays, and autobiographies. Another passion is writing and she has published several articles with SheKnows Media. Cynthia loves hiking the mountains of Arizona and doing HIIT workouts. She’s a die-hard Chicago sports fan, Halloween is her favorite holiday, and her TV is always tuned to reruns of The Office or HGTV. Cynthia is thankful for every day and tries to make it fun for her husband/love of her life John, the two beautiful humans she brought into the world, the three step daughters that have made life more full, and their two darling Netherland Dwarf rabbits.
