Aminat loves seeing people reach new heights with their health goals, watching them defeat illness, and cheering them on when they get back on their feet. She enjoys fostering unique and close relationships with people, and advocating for them in different ways. Aminat also enjoys the problem-solving that comes with being a physician, and working with the patient to come up with a solution together.
From Houston, Aminat earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Howard University, and her DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Medical City Fort Worth Family Medicine. As a DO, she values treating patients from a whole person perspective and taking into account the many psychosocial factors that may contribute to their overall health. She’s board certified in Family Medicine by the ABFM; she’s also certified in ACLS and BLS.
When she’s not working, Aminat loves spending time with her family, working on her yoga practice, reading poetry, and listening to audiobooks. As someone who has become a fan of learning the world and cultures through travel, she’s always planning trips. She also loves music, and is currently learning how to play a piano keyboard.
