Alicia comes to Crossover excited to put her knowledge and experience as a Registered Nurse into practice in a new setting. She’s worked in a hospital setting as well as in outpatient care, and finds she’s now drawn to proactive care—helping patients avoid hospitalization by addressing health issues early, and educating them so they can maintain good health. Making even a small difference in someone’s life is fulfilling, and she’s looking forward to treating patients with a one-on-one, holistic approach.
Hailing from Manchester, Connecticut, and a proud alumna of UConn, Alicia completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and continued on to work at their teaching hospital, the UConn Health Center. After over seven years of nursing in medical/surgical units and telemetry units and working towards multiple certifications (ACLS, BLS, WCC), life took her to Athens, Georgia. She cared for a diverse patient population at Piedmont Athens Regional on a Nephrology/Gynecology/Urology unit before relocating back east to Long Island, NY. Alicia is most excited to start a new chapter in her career in primary care focusing on preventative care.
When Alicia isn’t at work you can find her enjoying the outdoors, exploring the city, cheering on her UConn Huskies, traveling and exploring new cultures and cuisines, and spending time with her family and friends watching the Steelers and Niners.
