Akilah’s very first job was as a medical receptionist at a pediatric office. After seeing the ins and outs of that office, she knew healthcare was the field she wanted to be in. While her current skill set allows her to successfully navigate front offices, she eventually wants to work towards a career that more closely connects her to patient care.
Originally from Albany, Georgia, Akilah spends her free time reading, playing video games, painting, drawing, cooking, and watching horror movies.
